Medal Design:
The medal is a multi-pointed cross with a central circular medallion.
The obverse bears a portrait surrounded by the inscription “CONSTANZA HEROISMO Y LEALTAD”, meaning Constancy, Heroism and Loyalty.
The reverse shows the national coat of arms with the inscription “REPUBLICA DOMINICANA 1959 ERA DE TRUJILLO”, clearly dating the medal to the Trujillo regime.
The medal is suspended from its original tricolor ribbon with a single star device.
